Stewart Falls

Well, I told you we are determined to do more outdoorsey stuff and this weekend we chose to hike to Stewart Falls!  It was a bit more challenging of a trail than our last hike!  I think I counted somewhere around 5 casualties in total, with kids slipping and scraping themselves right and left.  I think if you were to ask them though, they would say it was still a good time!

Stewart Falls is near Sundance.  Half of it is pretty wooded, so it wasn’t scorching hot, but by the time we made it near the Falls, we were ready to cool off!  Some of the boys took their shirts off and ran through the water.  Shawn was pretty proud of himself and kept going through.  He made sure I got it on film too so he could show everyone how “brave” he was!  Kristine and Katie are visiting, so they joined us for this hike too.  Kenna and her kids came as well…..I guess they let Brad sleep in!  When we got there Melissa said she wasn’t feeling well, so Kenna turned around with her to hike her down.  Apparently she felt better quickly though, because they decided to come up after all and we passed them going in as we were coming down the mountain.  I’m glad they had a chance to see the Falls too!  I’m loving this resolve to spend more time it the Great Outdoors!  We live in an area where there are a lot of beautiful places available to explore and we finally feel like our kids can start doing some of these fun trails with us!  Mason came along in his backpack, of course!
