Jared’s class went on a fieldtrip to downtown SLC, and visited the Children’s Discovery Museum. As part of a joint program, KSL Channel 5 News runs a weather program there. The kids had a chance to meet a real meteorologist from TV, and were invited to perform a science experiment for him. The news crew recorded it and took pictures to post on their website. I was surprised to find out that his teacher had selected he and a little girl named Haylee to be guest news anchors! They were so excited and nervous! The weather man had them run through their lines a couple times before they were broadcast. Jared had a great time and felt pretty special!
